Michael Herrman Studio is a Paris-based architecture and design practice founded by American architect Michael Herrman.  The studio’s design work synthesizes innovative materials, practical design solutions, and sensitivity to cultural and historic contexts in an array of building types and objects.  Projects include residences, renovations, restaurants, as well as experimental transitory structures, urban installations, and furniture design.  

Herrman is the recipient of the Rome Prize in Architecture, a Fulbright Fellowship, and other awards through which he created projects and produced publications in cities in Asia, Europe, and America. After earning a Bachelor of Architecture degree at Cornell University, Herrman received his Masters in Architecture from Princeton University. He worked in the studios of Arata Isozaki in Tokyo and Jean Nouvel in Paris before opening his own Paris-based architecture practice in 2005. He has lectured internationally about his work, which has been exhibited in group and solo exhibitions in cities throughout Europe and the United States.
